Market Update

It’s time for me to give you the heads up on what’s happening in the market again.
I’ve put the latest stats from the Vancouver Island Real Estate Board (VIREB) below in .PDF so you can just have look at them yourself. One thing I always recommend is not just looking at the current stats but looking at previous ones too in order to get an idea of the big picture. These things are fluid and fluxuating in nature. Check out the older ones here.
It’s worth noting that it’s expected that sales numbers be lower in the Dec. and Jan. months of a year.
I also always say that the best time to buy a home is when you need one and can afford one. It’s good to be informed but I’ve seen some people become so analytical and choosy that it ends up costing them time, stress and money while they wait for that ‘ultimate’ opportunity. If you’re not sure if you can afford one, find a mortgage broker, they will let you know.
