Freehold homes offer the most privacy and freedom than any other type of home. Householders are free to decorate and renovate as they please. But with that freedom comes a lot of responsibility. All of the maintenance (indoors as well as outdoors) is the sole responsibility of the owner. This is of course costly in both money and time. On th other hand, with a condo, you own, and are responsible just for, the interior area of your unit. Unfortunately, you have to respect strict rules regarding noise, use of common areas, renovations etc. However, I as a quite busy worker prefer condos because of the fact of responsibility I mentioned above.

The more I learn about the advantages of the condo I`m more and more assured that as a first-home buyer I should go for that option especially that the Toronto condos became favourable. As I want to stay close to my office I can`t go for a house however I prefer peace and quiet after the stressing work. Buying a house is always a big investment so you should think twice before you get down into it.
