More on More on Markets
Posted by Ryan Coffey under: Nanaimo Real Estate Market .
A couple of days ago, I put up an article featuring an article from the Globe and Mail. Then on the weekend, I found another article from them that I thought was more well rounded and informed than what I usually see in mainstream media regarding markets. It talks more about Toronto than anything, which is in a bit of a different situation than here in that they’ve been having more economic challenges of late, but I thought it would be worth reading for many of you.
I suppose I could say that the article a long (and current) version of how I often answer the question “How’s the real estate market?”. That answer being something along the lines of “No matter what the market is doing, it’s good for some people, bad for some people and basically neutral for many. It really depends on what you want to do.” The trick is of course, to position yourself to be able to take advantage of the situation no matter what kind of market you find yourself in.
Soon, I’m going to stop talking about markets for a bit. It’s not something I think most homeowners need to think about deeply and I feel that my talking about it a lot may only be fueling the irrational fears generated by most of the media, even though my goal is the opposite. That goal being to provide a better informed and balanced view. It’s not good to dwell on things so I’ll be writing about topics that are more diverse.
In the meantime, I hope this article is beneficial to you all.
